  • Teaching is a strength of the School. Most faculty exceed the average student teaching evaluation averages of the university.
  • The HDFS undergraduate degree program is recognized as an approved program by the National Council on Family Relations for the Certified Family Life Educator designation.
  • The Communication Sciences and Disorders master’s program has a 100% employment rate and 100% of CSD graduates have passed the national exam in speech-language pathology on their first try since 2004.
  • The K-State Speech & Hearing Center provides over 3,000 clinical services each year for people of Manhattan and surrounding communities.
  • The Early Childhood Education unit's distance education bachelor's degree program received the Region VII Exceptional Program Award from the Association of Continuing Higher Education in 2009.
