Graduate Programs in Couple and Family Therapy

There are three degree specializations within the couple and family therapy program.
  • Master’s degree in family studies and human services with a specialization in couple and family therapy (CFT).
    • Students typically complete the required 60-62 credit hours in 2.5 to 3 years.
  • Post-Bachelor Doctoral degree in Human Ecology with a specialization in couple and family therapy (CFT). 
    • Students typically complete both the master’s and doctoral requirements (120 credit hours) in 5 years.
  • Doctoral degree in Human Ecology with a specialization in couple and family therapy (CFT). 
    • Students typically complete the required 90 credit hours within 3 years.
