Research, Scholarship, and Creative Endeavors

Dr. Dargin’s research focuses on voice and voice disorders. His current research is on vocal logging of vocal behaviors within those who use their voice to perform and those who are not professional voice users. He is interested in semi-occluded vocal tract exercises and how these can be used for efficient economy of demand on the voice. Other research has included using stroboscopy to visualize the larynx while people are phonating. This combined with aerodynamic measurements of the voice is an interest to Dr. Dargin. Troy is a singer and actor who found a love for speech-language pathology through the study of vocology. He combines art and science together. Troy Clifford Dargin currently manages Dr. Kittie Verdolini’s resonant voice seminars, through www.visionsinvoice.com. Dr. Dargin has an interest in administration and law. This led him to pursue studying law, where he completed a JD and LLM.

Troy Clifford Dargin is a performer turned scientist. He loves education and the pursuit of knowledge, by helping to shape young minds. He was raised in the midwest. Troy loves dogs and shows and judges dog show professionally, internationally. He also loves to travel.
