Human Factors Engineer- Ergonomic Test Lead
After graduating from K-State’s ID program, I began working at Cessna Aircraft Company- now Textron Aviation- where I had previously interned. I entered into the Interior Design department, and a year later, joined the Human Factors team.
My responsibilities include the evaluation of the ergonomic qualities and usability of all new aircraft. I am currently working (and testing) the Longitude cockpit design, Textron’s largest aircraft, to ensure that it incorporates the needs of the pilot-user. In our Ergonomic testing, my team and I utilize design thinking, anthropometrics, and space planning to deliver safer, efficient, and more marketable aircraft.
