Online Didactic Program
The Online Dietetics Program at Kansas State University allows students to complete the professional courses in dietetics via distance education. The program is a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) which provides the coursework requirements of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). The DPD is a selective admission program with application occurring mid-way through the curriculum. Upon completion of the DPD, the student earns a B.S. in Dietetics and receives a DPD Verification Statement rendering the student eligible to apply to an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship. Once the internship is completed, the individual may sit for the national Registration Examination for Dietitians administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
A DPD Completion Option (non-degree program) is available for students who have completed a graduate degree or our currently enrolled in a graduate degree program. The DPD Completion Option leads to a DPD Verification Statement.
The K-State DPD is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2190, Chicago, IL, 60606-6995, (312) 899-0040 ext 5400. http://www.eatrightPRO.org/ACEND
