Special Lecture From Dr. Richard Robinson

Dr. Richard Robinson from the University of Queensland, Australia is joining the Hospitality Management students and faculty to discuss his research on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, from 4:00-5:00pm, Justin Hall, room 150. Dr. Robinson’s research projects explore tourism and hospitality workforce policy and planning, skills development, identifying ‘foodies’ consumer behaviors and designing and evaluating education programs.

Entrepreneur Lecture Series

Women Entrepreneurship Panel

The goal of the entrepreneur and hospitality lecture series is for you to be introduced and given an opportunity to hear from professionals in a variety of fields in business and how they have gotten where they are today.  Some of the subjects will directly relate to your own desired career and others may be different but the stories can be relatable.

Hospitality Summit

October 30 at the Kansas State Alumni Center

Welcome to the 3nd Annual Hospitality Summit! Many students have found this to be a very informative way to network and explore potential careers in the industry, while industry noted it was an excellent opportunity to engage with students. This event is composed of educational sessions, a keynote speaker and reception.

HM 375 Poster Presentation

October 30 at the Kansas State Alumni Center

For HM Students who have finished the 300 hours and are ready to do the poster presentation. Upon return to campus, all students who have completed the HMD 375 experience will be required to present a table-top poster session using a tri-fold poster board (36 x 48). Business casual dress is encouraged. Slacks or skirt and a dress shirt or blouse is appropriate. If you are on a tight budget and don’t have business casual, please visit the Career Closet at the Career Center, located in the Berney Family Welcome Center.

If you are a student who has completed the 300 hours and is ready to present your poster, please reserve a poster space by contacting Vanetta Geiger via e-mail or call 785-532-1660. Example posters are on display in JU 152.
