Senior Interior Designer
Following graduation from the interior design program in 2008, Haley began working at SOM in Washington, D.C. There, she worked on large projects in the government sector. A love of history and a desire to promote sustainability took her to the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a master's degree in historic preservation and a certificate in ecological architecture. Her thesis work focused on using BIM to create a living model of a historic building to aid in renovations and reuse. During school, she worked part-time for SOM New York. While in New York, she focused on large corporate headquarters for financial institutions and technology companies around the world. She spent 4.5 years in SOM's London office to lead the programming and workplace design for a large renovation and new building construction for the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
Currently, Haley is part of SOM's Chicago office. She works with teams across the firm in the programming and design of new construction and large renovation projects, with a particular focus on corporate and government clients. She is a Certified Interior Designer in the State of New York and holds an NCIDQ certificate in addition to being a LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP.
