What is CrossFit?

CrossFit

K-State CrossFit is a program at Kansas State University that coincides with the LIFE Fitness Program, in the Department of Kinesiology.

K-State CrossFit offers classes to develop physical fitness for life that is broad, general, and inclusive through functional movements performed under the supervision of a skilled coach.

K-State CrossFit follows the principles of CrossFit Headquarters. Our focus is on 10 general physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.

CrossFit workouts are done in a group, with movements scaled to your fitness and ability level under the direct supervision of a trainer. Participants receive individualized feedback, yet pay a fraction of the cost of that for a personal trainer.
