Three tapped for international study scholarships

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Three College of Human Ecology students have been selected to receive scholarships for international study. They are:

  • Lacey Smith, sophomore in hotel and restaurant management, $5,000 Mike and Becky Goss International Programs/Study Abroad Scholarship for Australia;
  • Hilary Burton, junior in family studies and human services, $2,000 Faculty-Led Scholarship for Mexico; and
  • Margaret Vinson, junior in hotel and restaurant management,  $200 Heather Stewart Memorial Scholarship for Italy.

The study abroad experiences vary in length from short-term faculty-led trips to programs lasting up to a year. Scholarships are funded through the student governing association, the president’s office and private donors through the K-State Foundation.
