Craig Harms elected vice president of American College of Sports Medicine

ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world, representing a collaboration of basic scientists, physicians, educators and other health care providers.
With more than 60,000 members and certified professionals worldwide, ACSM is dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine to improve human health, performance and well-being.
Harms has been a member of ACSM for nearly 25 years and became a fellow in 1999. He has recently served on the board of trustees and as the associate editor-in-chief of the organization’s journal, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise.
He begins his vice presidential duties at the conclusion of the 2015 American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting in May in San Diego. The American College of Sports Medicine is headquartered in Indianapolis.
