Little Apple Renaissance Festival brings groups together across campus

Friday, October 27, 2017

Come to the Little Apple Renaissance Festival and support Kansas State!  Travel back into 15th and 16th century Italy on Saturday Oct. 28th from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 29th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in City Park. Dukes, Duchesses, Jesters, Gypsies and everything in between are welcome to join in on the festivities. We hope our turkey legs, entertainment, and vendors peak your fancy. Admission is free and costumes are encouraged.

How did this begin?  It began when the Medieval and Renaissance Interest Association student group approached the Hospitality Management department to help plan and execute the inaugural festival this year. Once they were on board, the Event Capstone class took over and began contacting others on campus to get involved. Student clubs, fraternities, and departments have jumped on board to participate including the Plant Breeding and Genetics Club, Pre-Health Ambassadors Club, Professional Event Management Society, League of United Latin American Citizens, On the Spot Improv, the Renaissance Quartet from the Music and Theatre department, Chemistry Fraternity, and many more!  Organizations from across Manhattan, the state of Kansas, and even out-of-state will be present to support this event!

Now we need you! Come show your support for our students university wide in their first collaborative event. For more information, please visit our website or email us at: kstaterenfest@gmail.com
