Applications being accepted for applied family science doctoral program

Tuesday, December 15, 2020

Applications for Kansas State University's Applied Family Science doctoral program are now being accepted. The Ph.D. program prepares students with the skills to teach, conduct research, and practice in the field of family science. Graduates will be prepared to conduct high-impact research addressing issues and needs relevant to family and relationship health and well-being.

The applied family science program brings together expertise from both research and Extension faculty who engage in high-impact basic and applied research addressing the most pressing issues facing families today. Faculty have specific expertise related to divorce, separation, and co-parenting; family health and well-being across the lifespan; program evaluation; and sexual and relational health.

The program values diversity and inclusion, and use the Kansas State University Principles of Community and the College of Health and Human Sciences Principles of Conduct to guide and inform our practice.

Domestic applications are due Jan. 15, 2021, and international applications are due Jan. 8, 2021. To learn more, visit our website or contact the graduate program director, Michelle Toews, at mltoews@k-state.edu.
