The PFP Summit has been canceled for 2021 but will resume in 2022. We will still have a student engagement event on March 11, 2021, called PFP Conversations. If you would like to sponsor and participate, please contact Tierra Dimond with the K-State Personal Financial Planning Program.

The CE information below will be relevant for the next PFP Summit in 2022.

CE REPORTING

At the completion of the conference, participants will have earned 12 hours of CE approved by KID, CTFA, AFC, and CFP®

CE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS

Attendance for the duration each session is necessary to obtain CE credit. No partial credit will be awarded. A short 3-question quiz must be completed at the end of each session to record attendance. You will be provided with a link to the survey.

Reading of newspapers, doing other work, opening mail, etc. is prohibited.

The ethics course counts for 2 credits. You will receive one credit for ethics and the second will count for general credit toward your life/health/variable requirements for the State of Kansas. This course also serves your CFP ethics requirement.

CFP– Completion of the conference awards you 12 credit hours. The Personal Financial Planning Program will submit your name to the CFP Board of Standards following the conference in order for you to receive CE credit. Verification that credit has been received can be found by logging on at www.cfpboard.org. The recording of your course by the CFP Board of Standards can take up to five weeks to be posted. If your deadline is approaching, you may also self-report using the above website to report immediately. The CFP Board of Standards will accept your self-report to reach your deadline. Once the CFP Board posts the courses, they will simply verify course information.

CTFA– Completion of the conference awards you 12 credit hours. ICB members are required to submit their credits via the Member Services page of the ICB website, www.icbmembers.org. You will need your member ID and password to access your personal records. (Please include completed CE Review Form, timed agenda, a description of each session and speakers bios. Ensure the duration of the program is clearly stated on the program material.)

PACE (CLU, ChFC, CAP, ChHC, CASL, CLF, RHU, RICP, ChSNC, REBC)-
Completion of the conference awards you 12 credit hours. Please complete your name on the form we have provided to you for every course attended for credit. Submit this form along with your PACE Recertification Status Form by mail to The American College. For more information, please call 1-888-263-7265.

KID- Completion of the conference allows you 12 credit hours of CE. You will need to self-submit the hours. Send in material when the entire requirement for the State of Kansas Life/Health/Variable credits are finished to avoid last minute rush. Once you have obtained all 12 credit hours, you may submit all your KCE-4 forms. If you attend the entire PFP Summit, you have obtained 12 credit hours. The agent is responsible for submitting material to the Kansas Insurance Department.

AFCPE- Completion of the conference awards you 12 credit hours of CE for AFCPE. To submit CEUs to AFCPE please go to my.afcpe.org and log in. Once there, go about halfway down the page to your certification and click on “View” to the far right. At the bottom right of your CEU listings is a dark blue “Add CEU” button — click on that to access the CEU form. You will receive completion code phrases at the end of the conference that will need to be added into the AFCPE system. Once you complete the form, your CEU request will be processed within 5 business days.

Thank you for your cooperation and attendance!
