Kansas State University's Prevention Science in Human Development and Family Science graduate degree programs combine education, research, and outreach to better understand and enhance the lives of individuals and families. Students will have opportunities to learn from established researchers and experts in the field of Family Science, as well as gain real world skills that will prepare them for a variety of rewarding careers.
Our Prevention Science program brings together expertise from both research and Extension faculty who engage in high-impact basic and applied research addressing the most pressing issues facing families today. Our faculty have specific expertise related to divorce, separation, and co-parenting; family health and well-being across the lifespan; program evaluation; and sexual and relational health.
We value diversity and inclusion, and use the Kansas State University Principles of Community and the College of Health and Human Sciences Principles of Conduct to guide and inform our practice.
We are proud to offer a Master of Science and PhD specialization from the Department of Applied Human Sciences in the College of Health and Human Sciences at K-State. We welcome you to apply and become a part of the K-State Family!
