B.J. Lehecka, DPT, Ph.D.

B.J. Lehecka, DPT, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Wichita State University, WSU.

At WSU, he primarily teaches content concerning the hip, spine, posture, gait, and other facets of musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment.

Lehecka has published many peer-reviewed journal articles, authored and edited numerous book chapters, co-authored a textbook, and presents often at state, national, and international conferences.

Lehecka earned the highest teaching awards at his department, university and state organization.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Kansas State University, a doctorate in physical therapy from Wichita State University, and a Ph.D. in orthopedic and sports science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
