KIECER Accreditations and Licensures

Teacher Education. The early childhood education pre-service teacher preparation program is accredited through the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved through the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) to prepare students for Early childhood unified (birth through kindergarten) teacher licensure (it is a blended licensure certifying expertise in teaching typically-developing children and children identified with developmental and learning needs). The facility is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and licensed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).
