Individuals across the life span.
Family stability and transition.
Community health and sustainability.
These three themes integrate the activities of Family Studies and Human Services Extension, Engagement and Applied Research.
What We Do
We connect Kansans to research and evidence based non-formal education in order to help them improve their lives, their families, and their communities.
We work with students, Extension professionals across the state, resident faculty and external partners (e.g. military-connected families and youth, classroom teachers, childcare providers, community leaders) to conduct applied research, program evaluation and research translation for high quality Extension programs.
We support student involvement in applied, community-based research and outreach projects at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
