Mid-Curriculum Review Process

The mid‑curriculum verification statement review is a key checkpoint in the K‑State Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) that ensures students are making appropriate progress toward meeting all requirements for earning a DPD Verification Statement. This review is separate from progress toward the B.S. in Dietetics or Undergraduate Dietetics Certificate and focuses specifically on the standards required for verification statement eligibility.

What the Review Evaluates

Required Materials

• Complete and submit the following materials
  • GPA calculation form
  • Resume review and interview preparation activities
  • Cover letter
  • Personal statement
• Review of DPD program modules and quiz (score of 80% or greater)
• Documentation of 75+ hours of dietetics-related experience starting for those completing review in spring 2028
• For those completing review in fall 2027, 50+ hours will be required
• Submission of all official transfer transcripts

Academic Requirements

• C or higher in all major support/prerequisite courses
• B or higher in all professional courses
• 3.0 cumulative GPA across all collegiate coursework
• Students below 3.0 may be considered for a waiver on a case-by-case basis. Students requesting a waiver must submit a petition letter and meet one-on-one with the DPD director.

Progression Expectations

• Continuous enrollment in a minimum of 6-credits of DPD coursework and steady progress toward the verification statement
• Demonstration of adequate comprehension on all completed KRDN measures
• Maintain a B or higher in all professional courses and 3.0 cumulative GPA

When to Apply

Students typically apply during or after enrollment in FNDH 400
