Neuromuscular Physiology Lab
The Neuromuscular Physiology Laboratory studies how the nervous system and skeletal muscle adapt to exercise, injury, disuse, rehabilitation, aging, and disease. Our work is focused on understanding the mechanisms that contribute to muscle weakness and identifying practical strategies to preserve and restore human function.
We use an integrative approach that combines neuromuscular testing, muscle imaging, electrophysiology, brain stimulation, exercise interventions, and applied rehabilitation models. Our goal is to generate knowledge that improves rehabilitation, supports healthy aging, and advances human performance across clinical, athletic, and community settings.
