Professional Biography
The youngest of 8 children, Anna was surrounded by her nieces and nephews from a very young age. There was never a shortage of play partners. The running joke in her family is she had to enter the early childhood field because she never wanted to stop playing, and this was the only way to continue. Anna graduated from K-State in 2000 with a BS in Early Childhood Education. She gained experience in the field as a classroom infant & toddler teacher, home visitor with Parents as Teachers, and family childcare provider.
After graduating with her MS in Early Childhood Special Education, Anna expanded her professional experiences to include early intervention coordinator, University instructor, Inservice trainer, preschool teacher, and autism specialist. Anna currently serves as University Supervisor for early childhood preschool and kindergarten field experiences and student teaching. She also teaches a variety of courses, including a Cat Community: Child Development Around the World.
