Bill Martin

Bill MartinBill Martin is the chief investment officer for Forme Financial. He has been instrumental in the launch of Forme, joining in 2021 as part of the company's founding leadership team. Forme is a first of its kind advisory — a fully modern, tech-led experience that is personalized, comprehensive and purpose-built for physicians.

As chief investment officer at Forme, Bill leads investment strategy for the firm, utilizing advanced technologies and innovative strategies uniquely designed for physicians. In this role, Bill oversees tax-smart portfolio optimization, direct indexing, ESG, private capital and dynamic reporting. These tech-led strategies factor in physicians' specific tax rates, goals, social preferences and capacity for private equity, credit and real estate investing. Prior to joining Forme, Bill served as chief investment officer of INTRUST Bank, overseeing $7 billion in assets for institutional investors and private clients, including hospital networks and physicians. Also, he previously served in leadership roles at two financial technology organizations - SunGard and Folio Dynamix, consulting with large wealth management and retirement practices across the U.S.

Bill authored The Smart Financial Advisor: How Financial Advisors Can Thrive by Embracing Fintech and Goals-Based Investing and has been published in peer-reviewed industry publications including The Journal of Wealth Management. He frequently speaks on investment strategies and industry innovation. He also serves on the American Bankers Association Wealth Management and Trust Advisory Board, Kansas State University's Personal Financial Planning Advisory Board and several fintech, asset management and industry advisory councils.

Bill holds an MBA from the University of Kansas, is a CFA® Charterholder and has 30 years of investment-related experience.
