Health and Human Sciences Outstanding Senior Awards

Students (self-nomination), faculty, and staff are encouraged to nominate outstanding graduating seniors (pdf) for any of these awards. Please read the criteria and nomination process information document (pdf).

Research/Creative Activity Award

The Outstanding Student Research/Creative Activity Award is given to a graduating senior whose research or creative activity has made a significant contribution to his or her field of study.

Engagement Award

The Outstanding Student Engagement Award is given to a graduating senior who has made exemplary contributions that impact the well-being of the community or individuals in the community.

Leadership Award

The Outstanding Student Leadership Award is given to an individual who has exhibited excellence in leadership. Students will be recognized for their contributions to the campus, college, program, and professional organizations.

Health and Human Sciences Undergraduate Commencement Speaker

The Student Commencement Speaker is the Bachelor of Science degree candidate selected to speak at the College of Health and Human Sciences Commencement ceremony on behalf of the graduating class. Selection is based on review of applications and interviews of the best qualified applicants.

Health and Human Sciences Graduate Research Forum

The College of Health and Human Sciences' Graduate Student Research and Creative Inquiry Forum allows graduate students representing master’s and doctoral programs to present their research in Justin Hall. Judges are faculty members from the college.

Alumni Association Awards

Multicultural Leadership Award

Each year, the K-State Alumni Association presents Multicultural Leadership Awards to four outstanding multicultural students for their achievements during their college careers at Kansas State University.

Anderson Senior Awards

Each year, the K-State Alumni Association recognizes four outstanding graduating seniors in the following categories: academics, inspiration, leadership and service.

K-State Alumni Association Graduate Student Awards

Each year the Alumni Association honors two graduate students completing their programs in May, August or December of the award year for their achievements during their graduate career at K-State. The categories for the awards are: Academics and Leadership/Service.
