Listserv Moderator Instructions
These are the commands for the listserv. Make a new message and send it to listserv@lists.humec.ksu.edu with something in the subject, usually the first command after the password. Then in the body just put the password command first with the password after it with a space in between, and then the command, one per line. End of message or a blank line will stop the processing of commands. So usually you compose your message like this:
PASSWORD password
add everyone fred@ksu.edu Fred Wills
remove everyone george@ksu.edu
Also be sure to send it without formatting or signatures, so change the message type to plain text and remove your signature from the end of the email.
Listserv Commands
Add a user to the list
ADD <list-name> <address> [Full name]
Remove a user from the list
REMOVE <list-name> <address>
Change a user's subscription options
The option can be MAIL, NOMAIL, DIGEST, NODIGEST, VACATION, REPRO or NOREPRO
MSET <user> <list> <option>
Get a user's subscription status
MSTATUS <list-name> <user>
Supply the password for moderator commands
PASSWORD <password>
Send the membership list
The password is not required and should be the only command
