Sarah Corn '08, '09

Sarah Corn, M.D. is a board-certified surgical oncologist with Wichita Surgical Specialists in Wichita, Kansas. She is originally from Inman, Kansas and received her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from K-State in 2008 and her Master of Science in kinesiology from K-State in 2009.

In graduate school, Sarah worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant within the Department of Kinesiology. Following her time at K-State, Sarah received her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2013, followed by Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at McGill University in 2021. In addition to her work as a surgical oncologist, she is currently a Surgery Clerkship Director at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.

Sarah's work has gone beyond the clinical setting to include multiple peer-reviewed publications/presentations, with a recent publication in Current Oncology on the role of neoadjuvant radiation in retroperitoneal sarcoma. Moreover, her current research is focused on Biomarkers and the prediction of postoperative outcomes and clinical outcomes in robotic pancreas and liver surgery.

Since 2019, Sarah has also been giving back to the global community. She has been involved with Health Caring Services in Honduras and serves as the Medical Director for Walk in Love Tanzania.
