Get Involved
Alumni and friends who want to keep in touch with their field and current students have many opportunities to support the college and give back to the institution.
Guest Lectures
Think you've learned a thing or two since you graduated that might be helpful to a young professional preparing to enter your field? The college enthusiastically welcomes graduates and other professionals who want to share what they've learned with classes or student organizations. Contact the department that houses your area of specialty or if you are unsure who would be the best person to contact, call the dean's office for assistance at hhs@k-state.edu or 785-532-5500.
Mentor a Student
The college frequently pairs students with alumni and professionals who host them for a week, a month or the entire summer as the student shadows them on the job or completes an internship at their place of work. Contact the dean's office at mentoradmin@k-state.edu or 785-532-5500 for more information.
Host an Internship
Would your company or organization be a good place for a future professional to gain job experience? Could you benefit from an eager young worker over the course of a semester or summer? Contact the department that houses your specialty and list it with K-State's Career and Employment Services. Recruiting the best interns is the first step in screening potential future employees!

Make an In-Kind Donation
Make tax-deductible gifts of equipment, software, research materials, books, historic clothing, or other tangible items to the college that will enhance research and learning and better prepare students for entry into the workforce. For more information, email Jeff Haug, director of development, or call 1-833-448-3578.
Invest in the College
As funding from the state continues to decrease annually, private gifts are filling the gap and making students' dreams of higher education possible. Whether you would like to make a one-time donation, set up an deferred gift, establish a scholarship fund, provide support for a building project, or sponsor a faculty position or research project, the KSU Foundation's development staff can guide you through the process and help you find a giving type that best fits your personal situation. Some deferred-giving options even provide the donor with an income during his or her lifetime. For more information, email Jeff Haug, director of development, or call 1-833-448-3578.
