Austin Stock '10

Austin Stock was born and raised in the small town of Troy, Kansas. He graduated from Troy High School in 2004, and continued his education at Highland Community College where he received his associate's degree in arts and science.

After junior college, Austin attended K-State where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in hospitality management. During his last semester at K-State, he interned at Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka, KS. Following graduation, he became a full time employee there and was promoted to Assistant Banquet Manager. After two years at Capitol Plaza, he accepted a position at St. Joseph Country Club where he became the Front of House Manager, continuing there for 4 years.

Looking for more experience in the hospitality industry, Austin accepted a position at the Carriage Club in Kansas City. Then in 2017, Austin jumped at the opportunity to co-own and manage the Hoof and Horn Steakhouse, an iconic restaurant in St. Joseph, MO. In 2019, he was offered a General Manager position at a brand new restaurant in Highland, Kansas. He worked with a group of investors to create Kirkwood & Co. Table and Tap, where he continues as general manager.

Through all of these various experiences, Austin has learned very valuable information on the hospitality industry but really enjoys being back home, close to family and friends, and on his family farm.
