Event Management Certificate

This 15-credit program gives you the essential skills to plan, design, and deliver successful events while strengthening your résumé before graduation. Open to all undergraduate students or available as a stand-alone credential, this K-State certificate is perfect for anyone who enjoys organizing, leading teams, and bringing ideas to life.
You’ll explore exciting sectors of the event industry, from corporate meetings and conventions to festivals, weddings, sporting events, nonprofit fundraisers, and entertainment experiences. Through hands-on, industry-focused coursework, you’ll build real-world skills in event design, marketing, logistics, and coordination—preparing you for dynamic career opportunities in one of the fastest-growing, experience-driven industries.
Program Requirements
Fifteen credit hours - nine hours of core content and six hours of specified electives - are required to complete the certificate. For questions regarding course sequences, please email the Event & Hospitality academic advisor.

Enrolling in the Certificate
There are no entrance requirements to enroll in the certificate program. However, several of the individual courses do require a minimum of a 2.5 GPA as part of their prerequisites. You can add or drop the certificate by using our online form.
