Student Success

With our applied learning experiences, dedicated academic advisors and focus on career development, our students are not only prepared with classroom knowledge but also skills to help them succeed in the workforce.

Introduction

The School of Consumer Sciences is committed to providing learners great academic experiences in and outside of the classroom. Learners benefit from working with professional advisors who work one-on-one to help them successfully navigate college by developing strategies for achieving their academic, career and personal goals.

Learners also have opportunities to get involved in numerous school and college-level student organizations, which provide opportunities for learners to expand their personal and professional networks, participate in professional activities and cultivate relationships with other learners, faculty and staff members.

Our learners also benefit from connections made through our college’s Professional Mentoring Program. Learners are paired with successful and experienced professionals in their desired career field. Mentors work one-on-one with learners to give them the tools they’ll need to succeed as professionals.

Testimonials
I enjoy that my classes offer hands-on learning further preparing me for my future career. My favorite part about the hospitality management program is the valuable relationships I've built with my classmates and professors.
Fryda M., Hospitality Management
Everyone I ever met at K-State always made it clear that they wanted to help the students succeed in school. Whether that be professors, administrators, counselors, or other fellow students, it was nice to know that there was always someone I could turn to.
