Professional Education and Development

One element of the Kansas Institute for Early Childhood Education and Research is to provide interdisciplinary training on all things early childhood.

Entities

Students can earn a bachelor's or master's degree in Early Childhood Education. The bachelor's program is a unified license allowing students to work in special education.

Professionals can engage in professional development through Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities Inc. (KCCTO).

Evidence-Based & Interdisciplinary Practice

Academic programs are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

We provide research-informed professional education, development, and mentoring to students across campus.

Advocacy

We empower professionals to implement research-informed practice.

Outreach & Engagement

We work with professionals in the field, including Dr. Jennifer Francois' work with the Division for Eary Childhood of th e Council for Exceptional Children (DEC).

Interprofessional Practice

We facilitate field placement sites for students to get hands-on experience in early childhood.
