Research and Inquiry Network at Stone House (RAIN@SH)
The Research and Inquiry Network at Stone House (RAIN@SH) was formed in 2017 to research children’s early childhood experiences in families as well as early care and education settings. One line of research examines in how characteristics of the adults, peers, and settings influence children’s development and learning in the context of classroom and outdoor play. A second line of research explores early interactions between parents and young infants. Research at RAIN@SH incorporates innovative technologies such as eye-tracking, wearable cameras, accelerometers, and GPS devices.
