Advising Information

What is Academic Advising?

Academic Advising is designed to assist and enhance and the University experience. Students must know who their advisor is, and be willing to work with their advisor to complete their degree in a timely fashion. Advising in an educational process that by intention and design, facilitates students' understanding of the meaning and purpose of higher education and fosters their intellectual and personal development toward academic success and lifelong learning (NACADA, 2004).

The Kinesiology Department takes pride in offering advising as an educational process to help the student succeed in the curriculum. Walk in advising hours are available as well as meetings by appointment with any of our qualified advisors.
