Apply to be a 2026 Student Coordinator!

The College of Health and Human Sciences is hiring Student Coordinators for the Health Professions Exploration Program June 7-12 and 21-26, 2026. This week-long summer program is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to explore different health careers and academic programs at K-State.
You will have the opportunity to help these students explore different career paths in health care and highlight the impact they can make as a future health care professional, all while creating a positive community culture and K-State experience.
As a student coordinator, you will:
• Receive financial compensation for each program week
• Receive free room and board during the program weeks in a K-State residence hall.
• Gain leadership experience to help prepare you for your future career
• Provide insight to future K-State students interested in a health career
The main responsibilities of this position are to serve program attendees, help foster a welcoming community, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Facilitate exploration of health professions
• Assist with travel and program logistics/scheduling
• Engage students in thoughtful discussions
• Ensure program attendees are all accounted for and present for activities
• Escort program attendees around campus to activity locations
• Answer questions and engage participants regularly
• Lead games and participate in activities with attendees
• Generate excitement around being a future pre-health student at K-State
• Participate in training prior to the start of the summer program
Applications are due at 11:59 pm on February 12, 2026. Applicants will be reviewed and selected to participate in an interview, which will be held between February 18 and 20.
Applicant qualifications include:
• 3.0 cumulative GPA
• K-State student for at least two semesters by summer 2026
• Undergrad or graduate students are accepted
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Must be available during both program weeks from start to finish, including overnight
• Preference is given to applicants in a health-focused major and/or with health care-related work experience
