Lee JeansSchyler Slaven
Men's Denim Pattern Designer

Schyler received a Bachelor of Science in Apparel and Textiles with a specialization in design and production as well as a minor in business from Kansas State University. She focused on technical design throughout her education and started her career as a Technical Design Intern at Lee Jeans. After her internship, she moved into her current role as a Pattern Designer at Lee Jeans. In this role, she upkeeps all pattern and tech pack information, creates patterns for new men’s denim and short development, oversees prototype approval of new and carryover styles, and helps initiate the 3D design process with fit and silhouette approval.

To keep in touch with her creative side, she is actively building her own lounge/resortwear brand called Schyline. For Schyline, she goes through the entire design process for each collection including idea conception, sketching, technical sketching, patternmaking, and final production. She also upkeeps her ecommerce website and marketing functions for Schyline.
