Senior Interior Designer
Following graduation from the interior design program in May 2008, Kara began her career with the global architecture and design firm Callison in Seattle, Washington. Her versatility in both the creative and technical areas of design propelled Kara into a leadership role in the workplace studio, and in 2014 she was promoted to associate principal within the firm. In 2015, Kara accepted a senior interior design position with Unispace, also in Seattle. Unispace is a global strategic design firm with in-house construction capabilities for commercial workplaces across a wide variety of industries.
Kara has been an active member of the International Interior Design Association and served as the Northern Pacific chapter's youngest president in 2013-2014. Under her leadership, the chapter won the 2014 Large Chapter of the Year, 2014 Campus Center of the Year, and they also took top honors for Chapter Advocacy, Membership Marketing Communications, Graphics - Special Event, and City Center Programs and Forum Educational Activities.
Kara is a NCIDQ certificate holder as well as a LEED AP ID+C.
