Jo attended KSU from 1969 to 1973, graduating with her degree in Interior Design. She immediately went to work for a large furniture store in Wichita, KS as a floor designer and buyer. In 1981 she had the opportunity to work for Beech Aircraft Corporation as an interior designer. With this dream of a lifetime career, she worked with customers from all over the world to assist and advise with their personal aircraft interiors, helped design new aircraft interiors for entry into the market, traveled worldwide to introduce new products, and created customer marketing aids.
After almost 40 years in the aviation business, she retired and moved to the Kansas City area to be near her children (KSU graduates) and grandchildren. She loves being on the Advisory Board for ID. Having this opportunity allows her to give back to KSU for the education it provided. She is grateful for all the opportunities KSU has made possible.
