Lindsey Wurtz

Lindsey WurtzLindsey Wurtz, LBSW, serves as an aging services supervisor at the Johnson County Area Agency on Aging (AAA). The mission of the AAA is to advocate for and assist older adults in maintaining their independence and dignity through community-based services. With a career dedicated to public service at Johnson County Government, Wurtz brings extensive firsthand experience working directly with the older adult population.

In her current role, she collaborates with state and local stakeholders to ensure older adults, and their caregivers have access to a variety of long term supports. She also supervises a team of social service professionals who work in the field and oversees the day-to-day operations within the Aging Services division. A social worker by training, Wurtz is passionate about helping people and working to instill hope and dignity in those she serves.

Wurtz earned a dual bachelor's degree from K-State in Family Studies and Human Services and Social Work. Wurtz and her husband, Cory, are residents of Johnson County with their two sons.
