Professional Biography
Bekah Meitler, M.S. is an instructor in the School of Family Studies and Human Services in Early Childhood Education. She completed both bachelor's and master's degrees at Kansas State University in Family Studies and Human Services with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. Meitler holds current teacher licensure through the state of Kansas in Early Childhood Education Generalist and Early Childhood Education Unified. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of young Children (NAEYC), The Kansas Association for the Education of Young Children (KAEYC) and serves on the Advisory board for the Lamb of God Early Childhood Ministry at First Lutheran Church of Manhattan. During her master's work, she mentored undergraduate students within a preschool classroom at Hoeflin Stone House Early Education Center and taught pre-professional childhood education courses at Kansas State University.After completing her master's studies, Meitler worked with infants, toddlers and their families in home setting to support and develop identified needs and individual family goals through Pottawatomie/Wabaunsee Infant-Toddler Services at USD 320.Beka currently teaches the undergraduate curriculum course (ECED 541) and mentors student teaching practicum students (ECED 598) in a preschool classroom at Hoeflin Stone House Early Education Center. She also serves as the co-advisor for the Early Childhood Student Association (ECSA) at Kansas State University.
