Minors and Certificates
The School of Consumer Sciences offers minors and certificates programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Each offering allows for our learners to expand their knowledge and expertise and increases their marketability in workforce.
Students can enroll or drop any minors or certificates using our online form.
Minors

The personal financial planning minor provides students with an overview of the content needed to thrive in the financial planning profession. This minor includes three of the six required courses to sit for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® exam.
The financial counseling minor provides students with an overview of the content needed to serve as a financial counselor. This minor meets the educational requirements for students who want to earn the Accredited Financial Counselor® designation.

Fully online 14-month CFP Board Registered Program with credit eligible towards a master's degree, the personal financial planning graduate certificate will make you eligible for the CFP® Examination upon completion. Develop and build professional contacts while learning from top faculty and researchers in the field.
