Graduate Degrees

The School of Family Studies and Human Services offers Master’s and Doctoral programs to enable students to gain a depth of understanding in their field of interest. Graduate degrees are offered in a variety of modes, with many courses and some entire programs available online.

Applied Family Science

Kansas State University offers Master's and Doctoral degrees with specializations in Applied Family Science. Students in the Applied Family Science program combine education, research, and outreach to better understand and enhance the lives of individuals and families across the world.

Communication Sciences and Disorders

The Master's degree with a specialization in Communication Sciences and Disorders is a full-time, two-year program focused on speech-language pathology. The program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Couple and Family Therapy

Kansas State University offers three degree specializations in Couple and Family Therapy: Master's degree, Post-Bachelor Doctoral degree, and Doctoral degree. The master's and doctoral degree specializations are fully-accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education.

Life Span Human Development

Kansas State University offers Master's and Doctoral degrees with specializations in Life Span Human Development. Students in the Life Span Human Development program learn about growth and development of the individual, the varying contexts of human development, and the processes underlying development throughout the life cycle.

Faculty at these institutions share knowledge and expertise in the field of youth development.
