Mackenzie Blakeslee '13, '20

Originally from Western Kansas, Mackenzie came to K-State as a freshman and was the first in her family to earn a bachelor’s degree. In 2013, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Services.
After working in several different roles in the Manhattan area, she felt a pull toward the financial services industry, something that had always been an interest to her. In 2018 while working full-time, she decided to pursue a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from K-State and graduated from the program in 2020. During that time, Mackenzie was connected with The Trust Company and accepted a full-time role as a Financial Planner in 2019. In 2021, she earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ designation. Mackenzie assumed leadership of the Financial Planning team in 2022 and became director of the team in 2023.
Mackenzie has always been passionate about being in a helping profession. Being able to help clients achieve their financial goals is one of her favorite aspects of her career.
Most important to Mackenzie is her husband, Eric, a Sales Agronomist for an agriculture company, and their two daughters. They enjoy living in her husband’s hometown in Central Kansas. In their free time, they love spending time with family and friends, as well as cheering on K-State football each fall!
